2. Square or rectangular layouts (many modern units are L-shaped)
3. Centre courtyard (uncommon)
4. Plot orientation (apartment unit-level only)
5. Brahmasthan free of furniture

How we treat Vastu in shortlisting

If Vastu is a soft constraint, weight 4-5 of the easy-to-honour items at 70% importance and the rest at 30%. Don't reject a 95% Vastu-perfect home over a north-west toilet position.
